About the role
What you’ll be working on and why this role matters.
The DevOps Lead is responsible for the CI/CD automation, cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, deployment, release management, monitoring, and operational security across the platform. The role designs and governs standardized build, test, deployment, and release pipelines, enabling Scrum pods to move code reliably from source repositories through automated quality gates and deployment processes into development, UAT, staging, and production environments.
The DevOps Lead manages Kubernetes clusters, cloud infrastructure, environments, configuration, secrets, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation, ensuring that the platform is scalable, resilient, secure, and operationally reliable.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager, Enterprise Architect, QA Lead, Security Lead, and development teams, the role ensures effective release coordination, environment readiness, rollback capability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and production support.
The role also implements appropriate DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning, access controls, secrets management, container security, and security checks within CI/CD pipelines.
Ultimately, the DevOps Lead is the technical owner of the path from source code to running software, ensuring that every pod can reliably deploy secure, observable, and production-ready applications across the platform.
