About the role
What you’ll be working on and why this role matters.
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure environments that support the platform’s development, testing, deployment, and production operations. The role involves ensuring that infrastructure components, systems, networks, servers, cloud resources, and related services are configured and maintained to meet the organisation’s operational requirements. The candidate will contribute to building stable, scalable, and reliable infrastructure environments that enable seamless application development and delivery.
The role requires a strong focus on infrastructure availability, performance, scalability, reliability, and security. The Infrastructure Engineer will work on infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, system monitoring, performance optimisation, backup and recovery, and routine maintenance activities. The candidate will also support application deployment and release activities, troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, resolve incidents, and ensure that infrastructure services remain operational with minimal disruption. Adherence to established security policies, access controls, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards will be an essential part of the role.
Working closely with development, DevOps, QA, and operations teams, the Infrastructure Engineer will support the smooth functioning of the platform throughout its development and production lifecycle. The role also involves identifying potential infrastructure risks, analysing recurring issues, implementing preventive measures, and recommending improvements to enhance system efficiency and operational resilience. The candidate is expected to maintain appropriate technical documentation, support infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning, and contribute to continuous improvements in infrastructure management, deployment processes, and overall service reliability.
