The Engineering Manager / Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and execution of the software programme across all Scrum pods, ensuring that sprint commitments, project milestones, quality standards, and delivery objectives are achieved.

The role manages sprint execution, resource and capacity allocation, delivery tracking, team performance, dependencies, and risks/issues, ensuring that each Scrum pod has the resources, priorities, and support required to deliver its committed scope.

Working closely with the Program Manager, Engineering Leader, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and technical teams, the role coordinates cross-pod dependencies, removes delivery blockers, monitors progress, and drives timely corrective actions.

The Engineering Manager / Project Manager provides day-to-day direction to the QA Lead, DevOps Lead, and delivery pods, ensuring effective coordination across development, testing, CI/CD, infrastructure, deployment, and release activities. The role also supports team development, performance management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement, while maintaining visibility of delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.

Ultimately, the Engineering Manager / Project Manager acts as the operational owner of software delivery, ensuring that all delivery teams work as one coordinated organisation to deliver secure, high-quality, and production-ready software within agreed scope, schedule, resources, and quality objectives.
