About the role
What you’ll be working on and why this role matters.
The Code Review Expert is responsible for maintaining code quality governance across all Scrum pods, establishing consistent code review standards, static analysis practices, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.
The role defines review checklists, quality gates, coding standards, and static analysis rules, ensuring that code is secure, maintainable, scalable, testable, and aligned with the platform's architectural and engineering standards.
The Code Review Expert acts as a senior second-level reviewer for complex, business-critical, security-sensitive, or high-risk changes, providing deeper technical assessment of code structure, design, performance, security, error handling, and test coverage.
Working with Engineering, Architecture, QA, Security, and DevOps teams, the role identifies recurring quality issues and technical debt and promotes refactoring, automation, and continuous improvement across the delivery pods.
Ultimately, the Code Review Expert serves as the programme-wide guardian of code quality, ensuring consistent engineering practices and a high standard of software development across the platform.
