About the role
What you’ll be working on and why this role matters.
The Senior AI Technical Advisor provides specialist technical guidance on AI/ML-enabled capabilities across the platform, including the Rules Engine's risk-scoring models, OCR, intelligent document processing, and AI-assisted workflows.
The role advises the Enterprise Architect, Data Architect, Engineering teams, and delivery pods on AI/ML architecture, data requirements, model selection, integration, scalability, performance, and production readiness, ensuring that AI solutions align with the overall platform architecture.
The advisor also provides guidance on model accuracy, validation, explainability, bias, privacy, security, monitoring, and human oversight, promoting responsible and trustworthy AI practices. Working closely with business and engineering stakeholders, the role assesses the technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, and delivery complexity of proposed AI capabilities, helping ensure that expectations and programme commitments remain realistic.
Ultimately, the Senior AI Technical Advisor acts as the AI/ML technical authority for the programme, ensuring that AI-enabled capabilities are architecturally sound, responsibly designed, practically deliverable, and fit for production use.
